Cargoplot makes your logistics straightforward. Because it shouldn't be so difficult.

At Cargoplot we believe that global collaboration should be easy. Running a business is complicated enough. And the logistics industry already often lacks transparency and good communication. All factors that make it harder for you to arrange the right transport for your goods.

This is exactly what we experienced when we tried to import a shipment of motorcycles across the globe. Little did we know that it would take a huge amount of paperwork, slow responses from freight forwarders and crazy high import costs. “It should not be this difficult, right?” is what we said to each other. And that was the beginning of Cargoplot.

We know exactly how you feel, so we made it our mission to find you the right freight forwarder for your transport and make logistics more comprehensible. So you can focus on what you do best; run your online business.

The Team

Maarten de Reij
Maarten de Reij
Co-founder & CEO

Transports motorbikes across the Atlantic and comes up with the next big platform in the meantime. His life is all "eat, sleep, Cargoplot, kitesurf, repeat". He occasionally has difficulties finding page 2 on websites, but that's ok. He makes up for this with his wits & nits.

Henk-Jan Meijer
Henk-Jan Meijer
Co-founder & engineering lead

The father goose that all devs follow. With years of experience in medical IT, he is the guard of the company's data integrity and he will give you a death stare you if you think of anything that can compromise it. He does magic with Kubernetes and other tools that the mainstream has never heard of. He does a great job decorating the office with creations sprung from his mind. Generally, he is just 2 cool 4 school.

Daniel Schreij
Daniel Schreij
Co-founder & tech lead

Daniel thinks he knows people because of his Ph.D. in cognitive psychology and his background in AI. At least, he will endlessly nag the frontend devs about misaligned buttons and other UI/UX predicaments he means to see. Daniel is one of the co-founders and in theory is supposed to be a responsible figure. In reality, he jokes around a lot thinking he lifts up spirits and lightens up the mood.

Rafael Alves
Rafael Alves
Customer success manager

He is the first full-time employee of Cargoplot. As the OG member of the customer support team, he is here to help you with all your questions about the logistics industry. He knows the industry like no other. When he is not helping clients he is most likely finding new ways to deliver an even better customer experience.

Aristeidis Fero-Pantidis
Aristeidis Fero-Pantidis
Software developer

Aristeidis is a passionate software engineer with 3 years of experience in development and the newest addition to the team. He shares the same passion with pizza and metal music. He is a funny, good-looking, and talented guy and he definitely did not write this bio by himself.

Namine Kambe
Namine Kambe
Software developer

A software engineer with a few years of experience. Before working in Tech, she studied Applied Chemistry and worked for a local government in Japan. She moved to the Netherlands because she loved the country, sadly she recently realized that there is no sunshine during winter. She is amazing at taking care of plants in the office. Most importantly she is truly kind, as the only team member laughing at Daniel's jokes.

Luuk Wagenaar
Luuk Wagenaar
Software developer

The youngest member of the team. Still studying to be a data engineer, but already on his way to become the best developer on the team. Lifts the team's spirit with his great personality and sense of humor.

Lars van der Velde
Lars van der Velde
Logistics Partnership Manager

Is our adventurous sales guy, he wobbled between the banking and start-up world for a few years and landed in our office to talk way too loud to all our new clients and partners. When he is not calling with people or laughing at his own jokes, he enjoys outdoor trips. In the month before he started, he biked 700 KMs through the mountains of Spain. We told him that they have trains there too. But apparently, he enjoys it.

Pamela Atta
Pamela Atta
Customer service specialist

Our soft-spoken customer service lady. In the department, she supports Rafael with taking care of all shipments and questions about the logistics sector. When she is not helping clients or translating texts, she takes on the role of a wedding planner. So, if you are getting married soon, you know where to find her. She is always ready to help!
